Romesco Cheddar Cheese Ball
4 Cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
4 Oz. Cream Cheese, Room Temperature
1/2 Teaspoon Alderwood Smoked Sea Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Pink Peppercorns
1 1/2 Cups Sliced Almonds, Roasted
Sometimes, no matter how hard you might work to impress your guests, the old standbys end up being the hit of any party. That's how we feel about our Romesco Cheddar Cheese Ball. OK, we just couldn't help ourselves - we had to tamper a little with our old recipe to give it a new life. We took our old (as in decades!) recipe for the classic and kicked it up with our Casablanca Romesco Sauce. We think the results are pretty stunning, and we're confident your guests will agree.
Place all ingredients except sliced almonds in bowl of food processor. Pulse several times until mixture is well combined. Remove from bowl and roll mixture into a ball. Coat with roasted almonds, cover tightly and refrigerate for several hours before serving. Serve with crackers or crostini.
