Tailgate On!

We’re midway through football season. Temps are cooler than they were when the season started, and our favorite teams have begun to establish their win-loss records.

 

 

Depending on the results, fans might be a little more (or less) exuberant than they were at the beginning of the season. But no matter how our teams are doing, it’s time to Tailgate On!

 

Culinarily speaking, it’s also time to kick things up a notch or two - to add some things to the tailgate menu that weren’t on it before now. By now, our tailgate guests are probably a little tired of submarine sandwiches (or even grilled hamburgers and hot dogs); chips and salsa; and carrot and celery sticks with ranch sauce. And with the cooler temperatures, they probably want warm up a little before sitting through the chillier games. For home chefs, this is good news, because it gives us a chance to flex our “tailgate muscles,” and up our own game a little.

 

So, what do we do now? What do we serve our friends on Friday night, Saturday afternoon - any time we’re headed off to the game, or entertaining a group of football fans at home?  At MorningStar Kitchen we have lots of ideas for you!
