Seasoning Essentials, Volume 1


I'm often asked about my work with MorningStar Kitchen. About what I do, and why I do it. The plain and simple truth is that the entire team at MorningStar Kitchen is passionate about our seasonings, and about making them available to Home Chefs everywhere. I share that passion! I love what I do as MorningStar's Chef and Spice Master, and I wanted to share some of our story - the story behind our seasonings - with you. But beware! Before bringing our products to the marketplace, my team and I spent years testing and developing a complete line geared specifically for Home Chefs. Even today we continue search the globe – from Mumbai to Mexico City, Naples to Napa Valley - for the finest seasonings available from the world's great Spice Masters.


Seasonings like Harissa, Za'atar, Ras El Hanout, Vadouvan, Bouquet Garni, and Shichimi Togarashi.

All of our blends are subjected to rigorous testing in our Test Kitchen, then adapted to meet the needs of North American Home Chefs in their own kitchens. Only the finest herbs and spices make it into one of our products, because we want to ensure our customers that when they buy from MorningStar Kitchen, they will be getting the highest quality seasonings available on the market today.


In order to receive the stamp of approval from our Test Kitchen, each seasoning must meet our standards for:
